Typeradio interview of Nicolas Bourquin
Recorded at Typeradios Sweet16, during the 16 hours radio show from Berlin Alexanderplatz on Wednesday, 16.05.07, at the Typo-Berlin 07
First part of the Interview
Nicolas Bourquin explains what he does, he sets things in context, be it a book, video or an exhibition. As an art director/editor for Gestalten he finds this multi-disciplinary work inspiring. He motivates why books are not at all an obsolete medium and talks about the Los Logos book project and the selection process for it.
Second part of the interview
Do books like Los Logos kill creativity? Nicolas explains the best way to use Los Logos. Will there be a Quatros Logos? Logos rejected by clients are often the best. Being swiss pursuits him, also in Berlin, but it's also an advantage. What are the differences between the Swiss and the Germans? Nicolas tells us why he moved to Berlin, his future plans, like Etcetera publications. Does he have a favourite Swiss designer?

Nicolas Bourquin presents: "Je viens d'ici", branding for the hometown

In conjunction with the Milan International Furniture Fair (16-21 April 2008), domus continues the celebrations for its 80th year and pursues its dialogue with Milan by presenting Domus 80 – Lights & Music Intersections in Piazza Duca d'Aosta and in the Galleria delle Carrozze of the Stazione Centrale.
For four nights – from 16 to 20 April in Piazza Duca d'Aosta – the event will feature the Pleinmuseum, a remarkable installation that opens and lights up at night. It will offer a continuum of graphic art and artistic performances made of images and films shown on 8 large screen/panels. In a tribute to Domus and Milan, some performances will be dedicated to the journal's founder, Gio Ponti, and the most important new ideas presented at the Furniture Fair. The new graphic design by onlab and launched by Domus in the April issue will also be presented.
More informations about the "lights and music intersections" and about the events during the Milan International Furniture Fair.
