The information space allows to review the preparation’s process for the move and the different stages that mark it. Located in the heart of the museum’s exhibition rooms currently used for the treatment and packaging of works for transport, the installation allows the public to dive in the atmosphere of the move.

The book recounts the epic tale of the renowned techno club, featuring on its cover the original logo – once sprayed on the club’s entrance. A chronological sequence of photographs, flyers, and other memorabilia provides an illustrated account of the club’s evolution, from its beginnings until the late 1990s. The second section of the book documents the club’s major undertakings following its relocation in the early 2000s. The publication is printed with neon colors and a coarse raster, lending consistency and coherence to images of varying quality.

Henry Brandt (1921–1998) was a legendary figure in post-war Swiss cinema, a photographer and a pioneer of the “new Swiss cinema”. Henry Brandt (1921–1998) was a legendary figure in post-war Swiss cinema, a photographer and a pioneer of the “new Swiss cinema”. Alongside a retrospective exhibition, this first monograph covers his entire oeuvre, including various photo essays interspersed with essays by specialists in film, photography and ethnography as well as a comprehensive index of his documentaries, and television productions.

Inspired by the slightly blurry and rounded lettering on screen in the filmmaker’s films, this font works alongside a black and white visual language, combining lines and curves to frame content and develop exhibition furniture. The visual system also refers to film and allows the creation of poster series incorporating multiple images.

The exhibition dedicated to the work of the photographer Fred Boissonnas (1858–1946) focuses on a little-known yet crucial part of his career: his travels in the Mediterranean, which he crossed in the first three decades of the 20th century in search of light, Homeric sites and biblical landscapes. In an immersive approach despite the small formats exhibited, giant wallpapers images punctuate the exhibition that takes up Mediterranean codes through its architecture, furniture, colors, and materials, including a sand-like carpet covering its entire floor.

We have developed it together since 2016 and have been in charge of all of the club’s on- and offline communications, including hundreds of flyers and posters designed on a grid system inspired by the legendary cage used as a DJ booth. This versatile framework has enabled the incorporation of various visual elements such as photography, patterns and typography, allowing the communication to evolve and adapt over the years while maintaining consistency.

This story has inspired many writers, including Friedrich Dürrenmatt, who made it the subject of his first play, “Es ist geschrieben”, in 1947. The play was staged in Paris in 1952 as “Les Fous de Dieu”, causing a polemic but also launching his career as a playwright. The design of the exhibition draws on this scandal, using newspaper clippings and headlines, as well as various archive materials, to explore Dürrenmatt’s complex relationship with faith throughout his life.

Onlab is a Swiss graphic design studio working across editorial, digital, and spatial media. Onlab was originally founded by Nicolas Bourquin in Berlin in the early 2000s. Vanja Golubovic and Thibaud Tissot founded a new studio in Switzerland in 2016, soon joined by Matthieu Huegi. Onlab’s Berlin office officially ceased operations in 2020.
