Photography is used as a main element in the visual communication. To distinguish the new visual identity of Tramelan from others as well as to enhance the idea of quality and simplicity, all pictures are black and white.

The young Swiss photographer Joël Tettamanti, born in that same region, was commissionned to portray the village. Directed by onlab, Tettamanti focused on the specific architectural character of this industrial and rural region as well as its inhabitants.

Key terms of the strategy involve the “Savoir Faire” (know-how) and the “Savoir Vivre” (authentic lifestyle) of the people living and working in the village.
