The 20th anniversary of Lavazza’s famous photographic calendars was celebrated with an exhibition in the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, Italy. onlab was invited to design the exhibition’s catalogue and communication.
20 years, 240 months, 170 photographs
Inspired by the calendar, the publication plays with the medium’s specific characteristics: photographs are set orthogonal to the texts – a conceptual twist evoking a calendar experience when it comes to images and a book experience when it comes to texts.
With the special open binding of the book the double spreads are plane, and as a consequence photography can be fully enjoyed by the reader.
