In Extenso is the supplement to In Vivo, the new ambitious health magazine published by the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) and the media agency LargeNetwork. In Vivo’s aim is to offer an insight into the richness of Lake Geneva’s “Health Valley”, where the Lausanne University Hospital plays a prominent role, but also to bring the attention of a lay audience to the advances made by the world-leading universities and research institutions. In Extenso, supplement exclusively reserved for subscribers to the paper edition, provides an infographic look at specific health-related topics.
This sixth issue is all about vitamins: While one part is giving an overview over the vitamins’ surplus and origins, the other part focuses on their nature, potential and interaction with the human body. Texts and infographics display the absorption of the vitamins and the best ways to conserve them, also describing what happens to the body when lacking or consuming them. At the same time the issue points to some of the myths and pretended abilities of vitamins – as well as to the huge financial market behind.
